Friends, one of the most iconic sitcoms ever, has made a comeback with their recent reunion show. HBOmax sent us flashbacks to Phoebe's quirky songs, Monica's extreme OCD, Rachel’s fashion, Joey's charm, Ross's cleverness, and Chandler's wit in an episode that left many fans craving more! In honor of this classic TV series making its return after 10 years off the air, we put a fun spin on it. Keep reading below to see which higher education roles each cast member would play!
Monica: Director of Advancement
Monica is a Type A personality who has been known to run flawlessly organized events, from multicolored Google calendars and well-planned outfits to gift bags for attendees. Monica's articulateness would ensure every donor is well taken care of.
Ross: Geology Professor
Ross would bring in dinosaur eggs and pass them around the classroom for a show-and-tell experience. Ross is an expert on dinosaurs, but he doesn't just let his knowledge go to waste; instead, he shares it with everyone through hilariously bad dad jokes that only make sense to him.
Rachel: Director of Admissions
Rachel's bubbly personality lights up the room when she enters and her enthusiasm is contagious. She loves to show students around campus, explain clubs they can get involved in, and make sure that everyone has a great time at school.
Joey: Assistant Professor of Theatre Education
Joey works for a Liberal Arts college. His favorite part of the job is that he teaches acting and no matter how bad his students are at it, he will always be their favorite professor because Joey has an uncanny ability to make everything seem funny in spite of its inherent seriousness.
Chandler: Director of Marketing and Communications
Chandler is the office comedian who's always ready with a witty remark to keep his co-workers in stitches. You'll find him ironing out marketing plans and making presentations, but he's also got an awesome sense of humor that can go from biting sarcasm for comedic relief at work to measured professionalism when dealing with people outside of the university.
Phoebe: Instructor of Music Education
Phoebe teaches music education, with a concentration in elementary education. She’s quirky and awkward but her passion for teaching is unparalleled. The first song she sings to the kids every year is the infamous “Smelly Cat."
