The Town School Uses Gratavid to Thank Donors

In a time in which meetings and celebrations have been paused, The Town School wanted to find a way to continue to connect with people who support them. The school sent a note of gratitude to their donors, using Gratavid as a tool to create the personal touch lost in the absence of in-person gatherings.
“Our donors receive so many different types of communications, and we know that short, impactful videos stand out from the other messages that our donors receive,” said Philip Bien, Director of Institutional Advancement.
One of The Town School’s largest donor events was canceled due to the on-going COVID-19 pandemic. In an effort to make the most of a tough situation, the Head of School sent personalized thank you videos as an introduction to a video regarding current operations. A seemingly arduous process that could have potentially taken days, was done in a matter of hours thanks to Gratavid’s easy-to-use platform. The school recorded, stored, and shared all the videos all in one place, Gratavid.
“Our donors have been so touched to get personal videos," Philip said. "Many responded directly through the platform, too, which was fun to see." For this campaign, the school followed many of the techniques on The Most Effective Gratavid Strategy blog post.
Even through these challenging times, the school is still able to keep its donors in the loop, despite not being able to congregate together. Gratavid has helped make that challenge easier to overcome.
